Chapter Three

~*~*~*~
"Maybe you should learn how to control your emotions more often." Shadow hissed between his clentched teeth. "I’m a women! Hello dumbass! I can’t control my emotions!" Jaal burst out. "Kayla could." Shadow whispered quietly. Ouch. Now this... stung. Badly. Jaal blinked. How could he say that to her face? She knew all too well who Kayla was. She was "perfect". Yeah, perfect Jaal’s ass. Once Shadow had met her eighty seven years ago, she had been all he talked about. Kayla this. Kayla that. Kayla blah blah blah! She had always hated hearing about Kayla. Her favorite color had been gold. She loved reading. Her favorite flower was a rose. God damn! Jaal even knew Kayla’s parents names and she had never even met this chick! Well, Jaal had only seen her once, but at a distance. Good thing too, Jaal added mentally, because if she would have come near me...

"Okay, you know something," Jaal finally spoke, "I don’t care what Kayla, perfect, pretty, panzy eyed Kayla could do. She’s dead! And guess who’s not! I could care less about what Kayla "could" do, but really, she can’t do anything anymore, because she’s dead! Heh, in fact, I would have killed her myself if someone else hadn’t of." There was so many emotions swirling in his eyes. But Jaal knew one all too well from her fathers eyes. Hatred. It was boiling deep within Shadows black eyes. Jaal knew that she never really knew when to stop, but hell! Shadow was comparing her to his fucking dead girlfriend, who "claims" that loved him ever so deadly. Bull shit! That Kayle girl was... ahhh! Words couldn’t even describe her.

For a brief second, Shadow did nothing. Then, he raised his right hand, forcefully colliding it with Jaal’s left cheek. Shadow had hit her so hard that she had flown ten feet and hit a tree, stopping her dead in her tracks. Not that she could have choosen where she had been flying. Shadow just turned around and headed back up to the mansion, his fists clentched tightly together. Jaal lifted her hand and put in on her hand print. It burned so bad. But when she removed her hand, blood tainted it. Shadow had hit her so hard that her skin had cracked and was now bleeding. Her back finally slid down the tree, so she landed on her butt. Her head hurt like a mother. Damn! It was bleeding to! Jaal lightly touched the back of her head. Blood. Fucker! Jaal knew better then to get him angry, but yet she did it anyway and now look where she was! Sitting on her ass bleeding!

I knew father was right... I don’t know when to stop. Jaal pushed herself up and started walking. Marissa had saved her once, but she couldn’t save her from her own son. No duh she would side with him and tell her to take a hike. That was just Jaal’s luck. She should have known that Shadow was going to bring up Kayla. Geeze, the guy was still obsessed with her after eighty seven years! What else could get worse? Jaal realized soon enough that she shouldn’t have said any of those things. She didn’t really mean them... that much. The fact was that Shadow had talken to her and now look! She had shown him nothing but what a bitch she could be. She had blown it! Nice, Jaal, nice job! She yelled at herself in her head. Gosh, good going! Now what am I going to do? I’ve got nowhere to go! AHH! This is just perfect! Why did I even have to open my mouth and talk to him that way? Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!
~*~*~*~
"You did WHAT?" Marissa screamed at the top of her lungs. Shadow flinched. He had never seen his mother so infuriated before. "I hit her." He repeated, looking away from his mothers eyes and staring at the wall. "Shadow, what the fuck were you thinking?" Marissa paused, and Shadow thought that she wasn’t going to ask the question how hard— "How hard did you hit her?" Marissa asked, intrrupting his thought. Shadow didn’t answer, for he couldn’t. He knew damn well how hard he hit her. For him that was him actually half trying to hurt someone. If he had actually tried to injure her with that slap...

" I didn’t stutter... how hard did you hit her?" Marissa scolded, stomping her foot on the floor with rage. Shadow still didn’t answer or look at her, but there was no way he wasn’t going to get away with this question. "She flew ten feet and hit a tree." He finally answered, closing his eyes. Marissa’s mouth gaped open. There was a long, disturbing pause after he confessed. Gosh, it was like he had just confessed that he had started jacking off at the age of fifteen. His mother was so shocked. "She flew TEN FUCKING FEET AND HIT A TREE! AND YOU JUST WALKED OFF?" His mother rushed right up to him and slapped him on the cheek, hard. Shadow knew he deserved this, every bit. He shouldn’t have hit Jaal so hard. Damn! He couldn’t trust his emotions around her! He had just gotten so angry... Dumbass! It was your fault because you mentioned Kayla. He critized himself mentally.

Leaving his mother, he started walking to his room. If he knew his mother, which he very well did, she wouldn’t talk to him for the rest of the night. Shadow had never seen her with that kind of fury burning in her eyes. But he could have sworn he saw some worried look too. Not for you, dick head, He told himself, for Jaal. Mom was worried about Jaal. When he got to his room, he flicked on the light and plopped down on his black sheeted bed. All around his room were pictures, drawn by him, of Jaal. The newest one was of her sleeping among the flowers. That had been from this afternoon before she started thrashing around. That picture rested on his table. Above his bed was another picture, sketched in pencil, of Jaal with her hand under her chin, gazing up at the stars. He had spyed on her while she was sitting on her balcony. To his left was a painting of Jaal in her raving outfit. She had looked so sexy that night that it had took all of Shadow’s strength to not drag her into his room and fuck her. Hard.

His walls were covered with her paintings, sketchs, and drawings. Shadow had never done so many of the same person before. Not even Kayla. He had started obsessing with Jaal when she had started sending off the female pharamones when her "time of the month" came. The first time it had been hell. Stunning really. At first, he hadn’t known what had hit him, and then when she walked into the room... well, lets just say he walked out. But he knew he couldn’t have her, his mother’s own words. As soon as she had brought Jaal home one night when he had been eighteen, her first words were, to all her sons, "She is to be treated as a sister. Nothing more. Understood?" At that time, Shadow hadn’t cared because Jaal had only been fourteen. Way too young for him, so he never really talked to her. He supposed that was another problem she was trying to figure out. In fact, why had he started talking to her? He couldn’t have her— Oh bull shit! He heard his mind cry out. He could have her and his mother would have to deal with it because he had never felt so strongly for someone like he did for Jaal. Shadow felt her every emotion. Shadow knew every single one of her "mental" notes. And in fact, when Jaal had told herself that she thought Shadow wasn’t interested, he had been about to growl out in anger. Of course he wanted her! He would except nothing less then her! And nothing more then her! She was his.

"Ah, fuck," He groaned, "The male bonding shit. I can’t deal with that right now." No, he couldn’t because he was still really angry with himself for slapping her. He couldn’t comprehend this now! "Well Shadow," He whispered to himself, "you’ve done good, man, you’ve done a fucking good job!"

Jaal sat in a pew at an old church in town. She walked so far to see this place. The only other time she had been in church was when she had been little. That was way too long ago. To long for her taste. But what had really caught her attention was the choir singing. Just like her vision, the choir was magical. It had drawn her in and wasn’t willing to let go. Strangely, the song was the same and it made Jaal’s mind go blah. She couldn’t think straight, for the fact was that all she really wanted to do was listen.

With her right knee up and her hand under her chin, she closed her eyes and just listened. When the choir stopped, the piano would start playing and made Jaal stay longer. It was beautiful. Each note having their own spell, so when all of them came together, it formed one huge trap. But Jaal didn’t mind being in its trap. No, instead, she enjoyed it, very much.

But when someone tapped her on the shoulder, the music released her. Opening her eyes, she saw a man. "My, what gorgeous eyes you have." The man said. "Oh, uhh, thank you?" Jaal didn’t know what to say, for she never talked to humans before. The guy laughed and she did too, half-heartedly. He jestered to the small pool of holy water at the front of the church, "Would you care to join me?" he asked. Now what was she suppose to say to that? It’s not like holy water would burn her, but no one had ever asked her that question before, let alone have her join them. "Uhhhh..." She trailed off, still not sure of what to say. The man smiled and took hold of her hand and started walking, bringing her up to the pool basin with him. "All you have to do is splash your face with water." When Jaal still stared at him blankly, he said, "Here, I’ll do it first, then you after me."

The man walked up to pool basin and cupped his hands. Dipping them into the water, he brought it back up to his face and splashed it with his eyes closed. "See," he said after he was done, "nothing to fear. Now you do it." Stepping aside, the man watched her. Oh what the hell, she thought, why not, you’ve got nothing to lose. Sighing, she went up to the pool basin, just as the man had and splashed her face with water. But before she could bring her head back up, it was suddenly in the water again. The hands around her throat were very strong, holding her in the water. Just because she was vampire didn’t mean she couldn’t be drowned. Jaal was losing air and fast! Her legs were trying to kick but her feet were being stepped on and her hands couldn’t help but fly around useless.

Then the hands brought her head above water. Jaal took a deep breath in as the water dripped from her hair and face. "Go on, cleanse yourself. Take away your sins so you can have new ones with me. Come on baby, scream, real loud. I love it when women scream loud for me, because really, in the end, they always do." Jaal took another deep breath, "Fuck you, you, stupid, ugly, bastard!" "Oh, you hurt my feelings, Jaal, now lets put you back in the Holy water." "No!" She screamed, her hands gripping tightly on the rim, "don’t!" Her back arched and her fingernails dug into the stone as the man tightened his grip on her neck. Jaal screamed again, but no one could hear her. What kind of church was this? "Good bye, Jaal." The man said. "Please, God, no! I don’t want to die!" She said but then her face was shoved back into the water. She screamed, blowing bubbles, as her lungs filled with water. She was going to die.

Weeks had passed and Shadow’s mother still hadn’t talked to him. Jaal had never come home and Marissa was terrified. She order The Five to go out every night and search for her, and they did, but they came home empty handed everyday. Shadow was so angry with himself that he hadn’t come out of his room except to go into Jaal’s every so often. Shadow hadn’t fed for weeks and he had always been training, burning off more fat, which he didn’t have. He shouldn’t have slapped Jaal. That had been the wrong move. But he had just lost control with her. This was all his fault.

When Shadow had finished his excersise for today, he walked straight to Jaal’s room and sat on her bed. Looking around he still saw all the things he had placed in here. About ten paintings, millions of black roses, and five sketches lingered in the room. In truth, Shadow wanted her to come home. He needed her to come home. When his heard his ring tone go off in his pocket, he grabbed his cell phone, and flipped it open. "What?" He asked irratated. "Shadow, we’ve found Jaal." His brother Ember said on the line, his breath ragged as if he had been running. "Where?" Shadow simply answered. "I used my tracking skills. She was last seen in the downtown church where a man upducted her and brought her to his place on Spencer Road." "I’ll be there in five."
~*~*~*~
Her wrists ached as her blood circulation was getting cut off. Silver duck tape bound her tightly to an empty corner in the very white living room. Her mouth was also sealed off with the duck tape, along with her ankels and waist. Jaal was completely uncapable of moving. It seemed impossible since she was duck taped to a wall! But what was even more disturbing was the man sitting on the couch watching her every move. Her every breath. And he penetrated her mind so he could monitor her every thought. Hope seemed out of reach because she knew Shadow wouldn’t come to save her. He was probably still angry with her. She would still be anyway. Twisting around a little, Jaal groaned as the tape held her in an uncomfortable spot.

"You won’t get anywhere if you keep that up." The man finally said, still staring at her. Shut up! I don’t need your advice! Jaal shot out mentally. The man smiled, "Oh sure you do. I mean, what can you really do at the moment except listen to me speak. You’re duck taped to a wall! What other choice do you have?" Fuck you! You know what, you’re trying to talk like those dumbass kidnappers on TV, you know that? Because you’re all the same at this! You talk as if you know everything and you are so calm about it too! I mean, Christ! Get a fucking life! Do you really have nothing other to do then kidnap someone who has no meaning to you? Jaal said telepathically, but she made sure that her tone also went through. The man stood up, "And you act just like the victims on TV." I do not! They’re all crying and shit. Does it look like I’m crying over here, dickhead? Honestly!

"You seem axious to die little girl." A frown was parked on his lips. His composure was falling to pieces. Just what Jaal wanted. Little? Who are you calling little? "Well who else would I be talking to?" You know what? You’re a faggot! You really don’t having anything that you can do to me. God damn! How stupid can you get! Gosh, and here I thought at the beginning that I was actually going to have to work. "Shut up bitch!" The man started walking over to her, but Jaal just smiled through her eyes. She knew all to well that she was getting to him.

Ahh, are we angry now? Whatcha gunna do now, pal? Drain all my blood away? Stake me? Throw holy water in my face? A nasty snarl crossed the man’s face. Jaal had never seen such an ugly look before like this in her life. "No." The man said sturnly, "You’ll see. No, wait... you won’t be able to see, but I know in fact that you’ll just love it. Look down at my cock sweetie." Jaal sneaked a peek, and as she did, she saw a bulge. Oh shit. She thought, still staring at the bulge in his pants. The guy grinned, "Oh yes baby, I’m horny for you and I’m going to use the time we have to take you. Now, I’ll just put this over your eyes..." He trailed off as he pulled a scarf from his back pocket and tied it around Jaal’s eyes. A muffled gasp shot from her.

"Now I’m going to remove your pants..." The man dipped his hands down and unzipped Jaal’s jeans, exposing her black panties. Jaal couldn’t help it... she screamed against the tape. But it was no good. It was all muffled. No one would be able to hear her. All her hope of escaping was now shattered. This couldn’t happen! It couldn’t! She wouldn’t let it. As her muffled screams echoed through the room, she thrashed as much as she could, but Jaal only found out that it made her exhausted. FUCK! NO! She screamed inside her head. "Oh yes" The man hissed out between his teeth as he played with sensative spot. Oh God no! Anything but this! No! Please! I’ll do anything! Jaal panicked, her thrashing got more intense, but did nothing overall to help her situation. "Now who’s acting like the victims on TV, baby? Can you feel—"

"You lay another finger on her and your dick is gone." A low voice said behind the unknown guy. Jaal stopped all movement. She knew that voice... but it couldn’t be! He was still angry with her! He hadn’t come to save her! It couldn’t be him! But it was. Shadow stood and watched as the man turned around with a shocked look on his face. "Your... your one of the five Sereg Warriors..." He stuttered, his eyes still in apparent shock. "And here to kick your fucking ass for touching my women." Shadow hissed, letting his fangs flash, "I should make you bleed, filthy bastard." "Umm... I... ahhh..." The man stuttered even more. No movement came from Jaal. She didn’t want to catch her upductors attention. "You know, I was going to kill you my hands, but I figured out that your to much of a mother fucker for me to that. So," Shadow grinned evily, showing off his sharp fangs, "now I’m going to kill you with my talent. You should be very honored. I don’t do this very often, asshole."

Sereg stood for blood in the old language and Marissa’s family name, Ainasereg, meant Holy blood. Back during the middle ages, when the Ainasereg family started out, Chalic, the mother of them all, had a strong vampiric gene within her. Using it to it’s advantage, blood warriors were born. Blood warriors are vampires, but just with very, very, enhanced skills. Each warrior had their own special talent that they could use. But, unfortunetly, at the time being back then, females were rare to come by, especailly the ones with the enhanced vampiric gene, so when they were found or born, they were not allowed to fight or particapate in any activity that included first blood. Now Marissa, being the direct descendent from Chalic, had the enhanced vampiric gene, so when her sons were born, they grew to develope their lethal skill. Shadow’s skill was mind penetration and torture.

"Just to warn you, this will be painful." Shadow said, now concentrating very hard at Jaal’s abductor. He crushed the mans mental barriers, penetrating the guys mind within seconds. His black colored eyes flickered with fire as they turned a mixture of red, orange, and yellow. They seemed to swirl which caught the upductors attention. Jaal waited and then... a bloody curtling scream shook the room. It was heartbreaking but Jaal didn’t cry. She wouldn’t cry. Shadow stood there causeing pain to the man, forcing him to do whatever he wanted. He made the man walk into the kitchen, grab a knife, and forced the man to slice open his wrists. The man did whatever Shadow commanded. It seemed like for hours that this went on, but then Jaal screamed out into Shadows mind, STOP! I CAN’T TAKE IT! MAKE IT STOP! END THIS! HE’S SCREAMING INSIDE MY HEAD! SHADOW STOP! PLEASE! Shadow had been just a mere shadow within the abductors head, making his mind bleed, controlling him every second. But his life mate was unhappy, so he commanded the man to die. And the man did. He dropped right to the floor, his heart ceased beating, his breathing stopped. Shadow then untied Jaal, and Jaal latched herself onto Shadow. "Don’t leave me," She whimpered, tears streaming, "please, don’t." Shadow smiled and kissed her forehead. "I won’t ever."
~*~*~*~

Three months later Jaal was sitting outside, being absolutly still for Shadow as he sketched her. Jaal’s stomach was round... she was exspecting a little something soon. But in the mean time... she would stay with Shadow. For he was her life mate. And she was his. Forever.
