Blame Yourself

About not thinking about cheating... and the regret after.
She would've been the greatest thing,
To ever cross your path and stop,
But you ruined the whole arrangement,
It's now dead from bottom to top,
And you can only blame yourself,
Because you could've used your head,
And thought about the girl at home,
And not the one next to you in the bed,
But the temptation became too strong,
To consider what you could have,
Instead you looked at what you had,
And decided you'd have that and be glad,
But now in the daytime it's all clear,
That you messed up and now she's gone,
Gone to someone who'll treat her well,
To the life where she belongs,
And you're left with nothing but your tears,
And the knowledge that you ruined it all,
That losing her was all your fault,
That she'll be so nice if you call,
But in her voice you'll hear the hurt,
Behind her you'll hear his voice,
And know that that could have been you laughing,
If you had made the decent choice...
