Travis Barker Files for Divorce

Barker, 30, and Moakler’s were the stars of the MTV reality show Meet the Barkers. The show, which debuted in April 2005, chronicled the engagement, wedding, and marriage of Barker and Moakler, 31. Barker’s rep confirmed the split Monday saying, "I can confirm that Travis filed this morning." Moakler released a statement through her rep saying, "My only concern right now is for the welfare and best interest of my children."

No reason was given for the split, but sources say that Moakler is "devastated." She posted a blog on her MySpace account on Tuesday expressing her "disappointment" over the split. She wrote, "I am very devastated and very much heartbroken over the demise of my marriage and for the upset of my family." She also talks about how she wanted to "overcome the challenges" she and Barker faced. Guess Barker didn’t really share the same vision on that one.

This was Barker’s second marriage. He married Melissa Kennedy, a psychology student, in 2001 and was divorced in August of 2002. He and Moakler were married on October 30, 2004 in a Gothic ceremony inspired by their favorite movie Nightmare Before Christmas. They have two children together – son Landon, 2, and daughter Alabama, 7 months. Moakler also has a 7-year old daughter Atiana with her ex-fiancé Oscar de la Hoya. Barker is the drummer for the band Blink –182, which is currently on an indefinite hiatus. He also plays the drums for the band the Transplants. Moakler is a former Miss USA and a sometimes actress who has appeared in such films as Pauly Shore is Dead and Big Momma’s House.
