Julia’s Latest Romance Ends in Marriage

Julia Roberts has had a well-documented history of "love-em and leave-em" relationships. She has often been compared to her character in Runaway Bride as a result of her penchant for falling for her leading men, including Liam Neeson, Dylan McDermott and Kiefer Sutherland. She shocked everyone by marrying country music star, Lyle Lovett. Their union lasted a mere 21 months, which could be considered a lifetime compared to some Hollywood marriages. Since then she has been linked with Daniel Day-Lewis and Matthew Perry - and then there was Benjamin Bratt.

Many thought that Roberts and Bratt had the chemistry to make it all the way. Their much publicized break-up came as a major shock to those close to the entertainment world. Bratt went on to marry actress Talisa Soto very quickly after the split and now the two are expecting their first child. Some say the cause for the break-up had to do with the fact that Bratt wanted to get married and start a family and Roberts did not. Not long after her split with Bratt she hooked up with Moder who wasn’t quite divorced from his wife, Vera Moder. Julia made some very public slights against Vera Moder, which supposedly caused a rift between Julia and Danny Moder’s family reportedly resulted in a temporary breaking of their engagement.

Rumor has it that the Pretty Woman star was jealous because Bratt married so quickly after their break-up and some say the reason for her quick marriage was to get back at him. There have also been rumors that Roberts wants to start a family as soon as possible. We can only wonder how Bratt must feel now if in fact that is the case? Only time will tell if the "runaway bride" and the cameraman are meant to be.
