Angelina Jolie Adopts

The latest gossip surrounding the "are they or aren’t they" couple, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, was that they were expecting their first child together. The rumors were sparked after Jolie, Pitt, and Jolie’s son Maddox were spotted shopping for baby items. Reportedly, the trio spent two hours at London’s Harrods department store patrolling the baby department. An eyewitness said, "Angelina spent the best part of two hours looking around the babywear department. She was wearing a long black coat as if she was trying to hide her body from prying eyes."

The source continued by saying, "She kept touching her midriff and holding her stomach as if she was comforting herself. She spent a lot of time looking at cots and spent a small fortune on clothes for newborn babies." Despite the hoopla, Jolie revealed to reporters during the Live 8 concert in Cornwall, southwest England, over the weekend that she was not pregnant. Now it seems that the recent visit to Harrods can be explained. Jolie, 30, just revealed was that she was in the process of finalizing the adoption of an Ethiopian orphan named Zahara Marley Jolie. She refused to name specifics such as age, weight, or length, but a source did say that the child is "less than a year old."

Jolie adopted son Maddox from Cambodia in 2002 and said of the latest adoption that she and Maddox are "very happy to have a new addition to our family." A source did say the adoption has nothing to do with Jolie’s relationship with Pitt. Said the source, "This has nothing to do with her relationship with Brad Pitt. People are going to try and say it’s about their relationship. But it’s not. Angelina’s adopting as a single mother, and she wants that emphasized."
