Father
This is a poem inspired by my father…
My Father
Are you wicked and cruel or just deluded?
Are you traumatized or just full of hatred?
Do you think you treat us all right?
Do you enjoy the on going fights?
Are we to be punished due to your loss of sleep?
And why is that every time you talk to mum, you reduce her to weep?
Every time you open your mouth a door is slammed shut
No one cares for you in our little hut
So why don’t you pack your bags and why don’t you go away?
We would be so happy, please just do it, today
We might then be able to have some fun
And thing that we desire to do, will be done
So the next time you lay down in your bed
Think about how much we all dread
The thought of living with you for long
And that we wish you lived somewhere where you where wanted and belonged
