Johnny Knoxville Slams Rumors

Johnny Knoxville has shrugged off reports of a romance with Jessica Simpson since the two began filming on their new movie The Dukes of Hazzard, but now he is begging reporters to stop the rumors because they are "upsetting his family." The never-ending rumors have allegedly become a source of tension in his household. Said Knoxville, "It’s an unfortunate thing because I have a wife and a nine-year-old and that stuff is hard on my family."

Knoxville goes on to say, "Luckily, my wife and I have a dialogue and I said, ‘Look, people are making up these stories and putting them in the papers.’ She understands, but of course she doesn’t like it. I didn’t like it and I’m sure Jessica and her husband Nick Lachey didn’t like it." If reports are to be believed, these rumors have caused major rifts in the Jessica Simpson-Nick Lachey marriage. There have been reports that Lachey has warned Knoxville to stay away from Simpson.

Simpson and Knoxville reportedly developed a close friendship on the set of their new movie The Dukes of Hazzard, but according to both camps that is where it ends…no hanky panky for these two. That could very well be the truth, but admit it…isn’t it much more fun to believe the deliciously juicy rumors than to think that everything is on the up and up. Knoxville himself admits to being a fan of the tabloids. Said Knoxville, "There seems to be more magazines coming into circulation and I always buy them."
