Mindy McCready Hospitalized
Add a suicide attempt to the ever-growing list of woes that has seemed to take over Mindy McCready’s life.

It was reported that McCready has been hospitalized after she was found unconscious in the lobby of the Holiday Inn Harborside in Pinellas County last Friday. According to police reports, McCready allegedly "ingested large amounts of two substances and downed a hefty amount of alcohol." At the time of her apparent overdose, McCready was in Florida reportedly visiting her mother. According to her ex-lawyer, Dennis Tomlin, while visiting her mother McCready learned she was charged in Arizona of identity theft and other counts such as attempted fraudulent scheme and artifices, unlawful imprisonment, and hindering prosecution.
McCready was apparently traveling with aspiring singer William McKnight, her ex who identified himself to police as her fiancé. McKnight gave police a four-page suicide note reportedly written by the troubled country singer. The note was not released to the public, but allegedly she wrote about her run-ins with the law, her strained relationship with McKnight, and said good-bye to family and friends.
McKnight was arrested in May for attempted murder after he allegedly broke into McCready’s home and beat her and choked her until unconscious. He posted $130,000 bail last month and was released. It seems as if the two were trying to patch up their troubles. McCready faced a drunk driving charge in May. She denied that she was intoxicated, but refused the Breathalyzer test. Last year, she pleaded guilty to using a fake prescription to purchase the drug OxyContin. She was given three years supervised probation, 200 hours of community service, and a $4,000 fine. Hopefully, she can get her life together before she ends up like the bitter end of some sappy country song.
