The Kiss

You told me to shut up and I told you to make me
I had no idea what that was supposed to mean
I thought it was a fight
I thought you were getting mad
I thought my life was about to change and I thought It was something bad
I got to church the very next day
Nothing I expected would happen there that day
I ate a chico stick before cce
Then I saw her and she walked towards me
When I saw her, the buttery sensation that was inside my mouth
Just went south
We walked into the building together
But we didn’t walk to class
We walked into a room all alone
We were in each others arms, I had no Idea what to do or say
But you leaned into me and I leaned into you
I asked you if you were going to make me shut up and that’s when it happened
You got the buttery taste of my mouth on your tongue
And I felt like I was in an incredible rose garden
It lasted for about a minute, our noses rubbing together and a feeling I will never forget
It was my first and that whole day I thought about it to the very next day when I saw you at school
And you smiled and I just smiled right back
I’ll keep that feeling with me forever and I’d like to thank you for that
