Britain's only Tour de France rider this year, David Millar, is set to sign a new two-year contract with his team, Cofidis.
Millar, who won Saturday's time-trial stage, had said that he would decide whether to stay depending on how the team supported him in the Tour.
The Scot, who finished 55th in this year's event, has signed a deal until 2005. He had criticised his team's organisation after suffering mechanical problems in the opening stage.
"I had thought about changing but never really negotiated with another team. The way we worked in Le Tour suited me," he said.
