Labor Laws
Labor Laws that promote a healthy America that make no sense. Currently there are many labor laws which are designed to encourage equality, but the reality of it is that they rarely do.
Currently there are many labor laws which are designed to encourage equality, but the reality of it is that they rarely do. While I know little about conducting an interview, I know these laws do nothing to control my decisions.
The concept of equal equality is one which seems good intentions exist, but its true effect is often contrary to its goal. Equality is only an ideal which will never be reached, but our programs to ensure it does only prevent it. These programs remind us that we are not always reasonable and that we have prejudice in everything we do. In my opinion they display a problem. If we simply erased these laws then some of the issues may fade away.
While speaking of equality, consider the effect of recent tax breaks. Also it is important to note that there currently is a law in the works which aims to minimize the overtime middle level management can receive, while requiring many basic hourly workers receive compensation of 50% extra for work over 40 hours. The aim of the tradeoff is to help promote a "fair" functional economy, the end effect of such bills will actually make business less functional by:
--taking motivation away from middle level management
--driving wages down to find the resources to pay the required overtime payments to some of the workers
