Gwyneth’s Hot Tempered Beau

Martin was surfing in Australia’s Byron Bay over the weekend when he noticed that tabloid photographer Jon Lister was snapping pictures of him. Martin angrily confronted Lister and demanded his film. Lister refused. Martin reportedly picked up a rock and smashed it against Lister’s windshield. Martin then tried to let the air out of his tires. Lister was quoted as saying, "He just lost it. I told him I was entitled to take pictures of him on a public beach, but he wouldn’t accept it." Anger management problems maybe?

Martin, who is best known as Gwyneth Paltrow’s boyfriend, was ordered to appear in Byron Bay local court on October 8 facing charges of "malicious damage" for attacking the photographer’s car. A police spokesperson stated, "At 5 p.m. that afternoon, police interviewed the gentleman where he admitted he had lost his temper due to the constant harassment by that journalist and consequently smashed his windscreen and let the air out of his tires."

Lister, who sees nothing wrong with invading one’s privacy, says he tried to make friends with Martin. Lister says Martin didn’t take kindly to the attempt, tried to grab his camera and exclaimed, "You’re making my life a misery!" Aww, poor rock star! Martin’s arrest didn’t seem to upset Martin too much, as he joined his band Coldplay on Sunday at a music festival in Byron Bay. Paltrow was not with Martin when the incident occurred. Rumors of an engagement surround the couple; maybe Martin should rethink becoming Mr. Gwyneth if the paparazzi is truly making his life a "misery."
