Ben Affleck & J. Lo?

Since Affleck and Lopez starred together in the upcoming release Gigli, the rumors have flown about their friendship status. In March, Affleck took out an ad in The Hollywood Reporter praising Lopez. He wrote "You have shown kindness, dedication, diligence, humility, graciousness of spirit, beauty in courage, great empathy, astonishing talent, real poise and true grace. It has been nothing but an honor and a pleasure to work with you. I only wish I were lucky enough to be in all your movies."

Um, ok Ben…that may have been a bit much. Lopez seemed to like the attention. She claimed she was "pleasantly surprised" at who Ben really was and really enjoyed working with him and getting to know him. The two have been spotted around town and were recently seen spotted in a Manhattan market. A friend says the two are "just friends working together." They seem an unlikely couple and it remains to be seen if they have the chemistry on screen as well as off.

Since Lopez’s split from second husband, Cris Judd, her rumored paramours have included Affleck, Ralph Fiennes and her ex, Sean "P. Diddy" Combs. There was much speculation as to why Lopez and Judd split. Many reports had her seeing Combs again and others said affection for Affleck caused the break-up. Lopez is negotiating for a part in the new Kevin Smith flick starring…who else…Ben Affleck. Lopez is hoping to get the part of Affleck’s wife in the film titled Jersey Girl.
