Kill Reality
E! is offering up a new kind of reality with the debut of the show Kill Reality, which gives reality TV stars the chance to actually act.

E!’s new reality show is set to debut on Monday, July 25th. The show will feature familiar faces from past seasons of reality shows such as The Bachelor, Survivor, The Real World, The Amazing Race, Big Brotherand Road Rules. The reality stars will star in a horror film called "The Scorned" and will have to live under one roof. Lisa Berger, Senior Vice President, Programming Development, E! Networks, said, "’Kill Reality" gives your favorite reality stars the opportunity to prove their talents and acting abilities and to show they are more than just stars of reality television. Fans of the reality genre will love seeing their favorite stars co-mingling together and working together towards one common goal – to make a great horror film."
E! and Creative Light Entertainment bring us this new blurred reality. Creative Light Entertainment’s executive producer Scott Zakarin said, "These are the true reality all-stars, out to prove that their first 15 minutes were just the beginning of their careers in entertainment." Each week we will watch as the drama in the house unfolds as the "stars" live together, audition, rehearse, and make a horror flick. We will watch how the dynamics in the house change as each character is killed off. "The Scorned" will debut on E! in September and then hit DVD in time for Halloween. Zakarin is hoping for a big screen release and reportedly is in talks with several distributors.
Zakarin goes on to say that the "reality stars are taking it [the movie] dead serious" and says that Survivor’s Ethan Zohn is "blowing everyone away with his performance. He’s playing a slick, whacked-out homeless clairvoyant named for Jon Murry, creator of ‘The Real World.’ There are all kinds of references to reality shows in the movie for people to pick-up on – at least a hundred." The show features an interesting cast including Zohn, Jenna Morasca, Bob Guiney, Trishelle Cannatella, Jenna Lewis, Steven Hill, and a number of other reality personalities. Who will be the first to get the axe…literally?!
