Ashlee Simpson's New Boyfriend Revealed: And Why Is Her Father Worried?

Goodbye Ryan and adios Wilmer! Ashlee Simpson has got a new flame to add to her list of rotating boyfriends and her papa the preacher is none too happy.

Recently rumors began to fly about a feud between Ashlee and fellow starlet Lindsay Lohan over actor Wilmer Valderrama of That 70's show fame. With that romance on the skids and a relationship with on-again off-again boyfriend singer Ryan Cabrera having cooled down, there are reports that Simpson is getting intimate with up and coming rocker, Ian Erix.

An interested onlooker recently used a mobile phone to capture photos of the pair at an exclusive Hollywood nightclub. "They were hooking up and seemed really into each other" the bystander noted.

Ashlee's father, Joe Simpson, a former minister and current music manager is reportedly unnerved by his daughter’s latest romance. Allegedly, as Cabrera's manager, Joe was able to keep a watchful eye on his daughter. Sources say he worries about her gallivanting around with a glam punk type such as Erix.

Ashlee seems to have a penchant for blonde rockers with the exception of Valderrama says a source close to the star. At the on start of MTV's The Ashlee Simpson Show, viewers watched Simpson obsess over her then boyfriend Josh Henderson, formerly of pop group Scene 23.
