World's one of the most recognized athlete Michael Jordan was born on 17 February 1963. Michael Jordan is a 6'6'' phenomenal athlete with a unique combination of grace, power, artistry and improvisational ability. For many years Michael has been most valuable NBA superstar. Jordan proved his valor in the game-field and was hero even after he was out for three seasons from 1998-99 through 2000-01.

Jordan was a top player of his era, having numerous achievements against his name. Jordan is probably the best player ever born in NBA history. By the end of 1997-98 season; Jordan had won a record 10th scoring title and led the Chicago Bulls to their sixth NBA championship in 1990s decade.

Michael Jordan who stayed at Brooklyn, attended high school Wilmington, North Carolina, he was cut from the basketball team as a sophomore. He played for NCAA Championship team as a freshman and hit a winning shot in the title game while he was learning in College at North Carolina. He was also named College Player of the Year by The Sporting News in 1983 and in 1984; he also won few awards for his game during the College period. Jordan was chosen with the third overall pick in the 1984 NBA Draft by the Chicago Bulls and that was the time he never looked back in his career. Jordan earned average 28.2 points per game in 1984-85 and claimed the NBA Rookie of the Year Award for the same.

In virtually all the seasons, Jordan came up with an average of 30 plus points. Jordan has nominated and even won many MVP (Most Valuable Player) Awards. By the time he announced his retirement, Jordan had won three league MVP Awards, a career playoff average of 34.7 points per game, which is the best in NBA history, an NBA Defensive Player of the Year selection, pair of NBA slam-dunk championship titles etc. Jordan also led the league in steals three times. A nine-time All-Star Game selection, Jordan earned the game's Most Valuable Player Award in 1988 after his 40-points performance. Michael Jordan is known as a scoring machine on field. Jordan was not only a player in Chicago Bulls, but he also showed that he was a leader and a winner by guiding Chicago to a trio of NBA Championship.

Jordan showed his talent not only in NBA and season games, but he was even more spectacular in postseason play. In 1985-86 postseason games, he earned an average of 44 points per contest. Jordan always displayed his command over the game wherever he played. Jordan shocked the NBA by announcing his retirement prior to the 1993-94 season. He spent the year playing minor league baseball for the Class AA Birmingham Barons of the Chicago White Sox organization. Even after announcing his retirement, Jordan was not willing to quit the big games, he gave a try to bring Bulls championship in 1994-95 season, but the bulls could not break the Orlando Magic ring despite the once again spectacular performance by Jordan.

Jordan had no chance to regret; just a year next he once again fulfilled his quest to bring Bulls a great season. Jordan played with an average of 30 points per game and Bulls charged to a record 72 victories during the regular season. During this season (1995-96) Bulls playoff was the best in NBA history. Jordan again started capturing MVP Awards one by one for next seasons. With this and many more achievements Jordan is one and only player ever born in NBA history with such success.

Five-time NBA MVP, Ten time All-NBA First Team selection, selected in 1996 as one of the "50 Greatest Players in NBA History", has been a member of six Chicago Bulls NBA championship teams, six-time NBA Finals Most Valuable Player, holds numerous records for high scores in a game, holds NBA records for most consecutive games scoring in double-digits, All-time NBA All-Star Game leader in steals (35) and ranks second in field-goal attempts (206), third in points (242), fourth in scoring average (20.2 ppg), and eighth in assists (52), these and many more are bits of great achievements of the great player Michael Jordan.
