Born in 1972 in San Diego, 5’ 9’’ tall and luminescent personality Cameron Michelle Diaz is one of the successful actresses in Hollywood. Cameron also known as Cami (her pet name) is an attractive blue-eyed blonde. Cameron was born to a Cuban-American father and an Anglo-German mother. Cameron Graduated High School from Long Beach Poly Class of 1990 in Long Beach California. She was a half-time dancer at football games in high school. Cameron was adventurous and independent natured girl and left home at 16 in search of success.

Cameron started her career as a model and she lived in Japan, Australia, Mexico, Morocco and some more places for 5 years before returning to California at the age of 21. She was given her first big offer for "The Mask" in 1994. Even when Cami did not had a previous acting experience; she was offered a lead role in the movie "The Mask" opposite rising comedian super star Jim Carrey. Cameron tried and succeeded in improving her acting skills in next 3 years, she worked in low budget films such as "The Last Supper" in 1995, "Feeling Minnesota" in 1996 etc. She returned to mainstream films in "My Best Friend's Wedding" (1997), in which she held her own against veteran actress Julia Roberts. By 1998, Cameron was a full-fledged star; she shook the Hollywood after her mind-blowing performance in the box office smash "There's Something About Mary" (1998). Cameron was also offered with the chance to kick Hollywood ass in the feature film version of "Mortal Kombat". For this role, Diaz required martial arts training and was sent to undergo martial arts training. But Cameron injured her wrist and injured her trainer’s head too and had to give up the film. Diaz instead returned to some high paying modeling jobs and found smaller, low-paying roles in independent films. She was chosen by Empire magazine as one of the 100 Sexiest Stars in film history in 1995. People Magazine chose her as one of the 50 most beautiful people in the world in 1998.

On 20 November 2003, photographer John Rutter was ordered to stand trial for attempted extortion, grand theft, perjury and forgery after trying to blackmail Cameron with topless shots he had of her from 1992.

Cameron is the only second actress to join the coveted $20 Million Club after Julia Roberts when she was offered the amount with a role in Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle in January 2002. Cameron has achieved name and fame in Hollywood. She believes that when you are in lead role for a project, people look at you to set tone of everyday work, and so she tries to give the best for the day’s work.
