Electra’s rep, Brit Reese, reportedly told Us magazine, "They are amicably separating." No official reason was given for the split. The couple has denied for months that anything was amiss in their marriage. Navarro even stepped out in support of his wife on April 10 at the premier of her movie Scary Movie. At the time Electra said, "We’re fine! I’m not saying we have the perfect marriage or that we’re the perfect couple, but we’re pretty damn good." She also stated that she wouldn’t wear her ring and "walk around and pretend" if there was any truth to the rumors.
The couple was married in November 2003. Their engagement and marriage was captured on film for the 2004 MTV reality series Til Death Do Us Part: Carmen + Dave. The wedding included 200 guests and took place at Los Angeles’ St. Regis Hotel. Electra, 34, and Navarro, 39, have no children.
This was Electra’s second marriage. She was briefly married to NBA bad boy Dennis Rodman in 1998. They divorced five-months later. Navarro first said "I do" in 1990 in a pagan ceremony to first wife Tanja. The marriage didn’t last long. He married second wife, Rhian, after only two weeks of knowing one another. The marriage was annulled a month later. Electra is currently filming her new movie I Want Candy which is slated to be released next year. Navarro, former member of Jane’s Addiction and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, is currently hosting the show Rock Star: Supernova.
