You hold my freedom

This is about authority in my life and the way I see it…
You hold my freedom in your hand
my very essences of life you contain,
a mountain of small grains of sand
looking down upon me with distain
you try to destroy us with your trails
studying our every move so you can counter
you always remember, hiding it in a file
you think of us as the prey, and you the hunter
well, let me tell you that you fail
in keeping us prisoner, denying us bail
we can finally live with nothing to fear
we'll only see some pain, and one or two tears.
