Love was involuntarily admitted on Friday to New York’s Bellevue Hospital just a few hours after an arrest warrant was issued for her in California for missing a court appearance. Reportedly, police spoke with Love around noon on Friday after the building supervisor reported that someone was throwing bottles out of a window. No arrests were made at that time. A few hours later, paparazzi gathered under Love’s third-floor window to serenade the 40-year old birthday girl. According to reports, Love began acting very "erratically" as the photogs sang Happy Birthday to her and a second call was made to the police.

Sources say that a "very pale" and "distraught" Love, who was handcuffed, struggled with and cursed at the medics as they carried her to the ambulance on a stretcher. Around the same time in California, a bench warrant was issued for Love’s arrest after she failed to appear at an arraignment on a "felony assault with a deadly weapon charge" stemming from an April 25 incident where she allegedly attacked a woman with a liquor bottle and a flashlight at an ex-boyfriend’s house in Los Angeles. The unforgiving judge didn’t believe Love’s attorney’s suggestion that Love was "confused" about whether or not she had to be in court and her bail was doubled to $150,000.

Love was sighted over the weekend looking disheveled and dirty bumming cigarettes from strangers on the street. She reportedly also told a number of people she had had an abortion on Thursday. When she was taken to the hospital, there were rumors of a possible miscarriage or an abortion. Love’s lawyer, Michael Rosenstein, released a statement saying the hospitalization was due to an unspecified gynecological condition. He also added that it did not involve drugs or a suicide attempt. He also said Love planned to return to LA to face the charges. Love continues to spiral out of control. When will she receive the help she needs before she ends up causing herself irreparable damage?
