About Lighthouses

Me and my interest in lighthouses…
I am not really a poet,
I can only do the best that I can,
I like to write about lighthouses,
That occupy this great land.

It gives me great satisfaction,
To learn about each light,
To put into words it is difficult,
The admiration I find at each light.

I wander our country in search of,
These amazing beacons of our past,
Each one a little bit nicer,
Than the one that I visited last.

I hope that I can continue,
To travel throughout the land,
And write a poem or two,
And possibly lend a hand.

Our lighthouses are very precious,
I hope many folks do care,
So that we may in some way,
Their beauty, forever, share.

So I will continue writing,
In a rather humble way,
I hope that this heritage,
Will, forever, with us stay.
