Chad Lowe Angry Over Comments
Actor Chad Lowe is reportedly furious over comments his soon to be ex-wife Hilary Swank made recently about his alleged addictions.

A few weeks ago Swank did an interview for Vanity Fair magazine and finally opened up about her marriage to Lowe and why they broke up. The two-time Oscar winner revealed that Lowe suffered from a substance abuse problem which helped end their marriage. Swank said in the interview "I knew something was happening, but I didn’t know what, When I found out, it was such a shock because I never thought he’d keep something from me. And yet, on another level, it was a confirmation of something I was feeling that was keeping us from being completely solid."
Now Lowe is reportedly furious about the interview. Swank appeared on the cover of the August issue of the magazine. It was reported that a friend of Lowe’s said, "Chad was pretty surprised that Hilary would bring (his problem) into the equation." Swank did say in her interview that Lowe’s substance abuse problem was not the only driving force behind the demise of their marriage. She did not reveal what substance Lowe was allegedly abusing, but did acknowledge that he has been sober for three years, a claim that a friend of his backed-up recently in an article of US Weekly. The source said, "Chad has been sober for three years. He isn’t ashamed of his struggle, but he really wishes Hilary wouldn’t have talked publicly now."
The question remains, why did she talk now? What could she stand to gain from the interview? Her lawyer reportedly claims that she told Lowe about the interview and what was said, but denies that she used the story to promote her latest movie or to "land the magazine’s cover." Yeah, ok. So why then? Lowe and Swank met in 1992 at a party and were married in 1997. They seemed to be the perfect Hollywood story until they announced their "trial" separation in January 2006. Just two months later they announced that they were going to proceed with their divorce. Another one bites the dust!
