Landis Takes Yellow Jersey
Tour de France: Floyd Landis is the new race leader after finishing third in stage 11.
American Floyd Landis took the yellow jersey today after finishing third on the most difficult stage of the Tour de France so far.
Russian Denis Menchov won the stage, a 206.5-km ride through the Pyrenees from Tarbes to Pla-de-Beret, by outsprinting Levi Leipheimer, who finished second, and Landis.
Tomorrow's 12th stage will lead the peloton out of the Pyrenees over 211.5 kms from Luchon to Carcassonne on Bastille Day.
