Brigitte Nielsen Marries…Again

Nielsen and Dessi said "I do" once before in the Dominican Republic in February 2005. It was then reported that the marriage was illegal because Nielsen was still married to hubby number 4, Raoul Meyer, a former racecar driver. This time around it seems that the marriage is on the up and up. Nielsen, 42, and Dessi, 28, exchanged vows in Malta at the Radisson SAS Golden Sands Resort & Spa. Her manager, Luigi Balduini said of the former model and actress, "She is like a little child. She is pretty happy."

Nielsen, whose second husband was Sylvester Stallone, began her career as a model for designers like Giorgio Armani and Gianni Versace before breaking out on the big screen in such movies as Red Sonja and Rocky IV. She made a "comeback" in 2004 on VH1’s The Surreal Life and struck up a very unlikely friendship and romance with Flavor Flav of Public Enemy fame. Their relationship sparked so much interest they landed their own show on VH1 called Strange Love. The show featured the relationship between the two and the show ended with her choosing Dessi.

Nielsen and Dessi’s first attempt at making it official was really "more like an official engagement" according to Balduini. According to People magazine he said, "They put it on the news that it was a marriage, but it was an engagement, because she was still legally married." Besides being married to Stallone, she has a teenage son with ex-NFL star Mark Gastineau. Nielsen also has two sons with Meyer and one son with her first husband Kasper Winding.
