On Aging

A discourse on chronic pain. Who is the woman in my mirror?...
Who is the woman in my mirror?

Where is the youthful smile?

Pain has brought wrinkles.

Days of pain and despair

Have dulled the once bright eyes.

The promise of Heaven

Is the brightest hope left to me.

Jesus will take the pain and despair,

Return the shine to my eyes.
