Kelly Osbourne, who has already gone through one stint in rehab, has reportedly re-entered a rehab facility to combat her addictions. It was reported that the 20 year-old singer and daughter of rocker Ozzy Osbourne, turned back to alcohol and painkillers after her new album tanked and she became distressed over constant press about her weight. Osbourne apparently recognized that she needed help and checked herself into a rehabilitation facility in California because she couldn’t deal with the pressure.
According to a source, "Kelly struggled with all the negative criticism. She put her heart into the record, but after it was panned it really affected her badly." Kelly’s new album Sleeping In The Nothing only reached number 57 in the UK charts and was bagged by critics. She also recently revealed that she feels constant pressure to lose weight and according to the source the "constant jibes about her weight really hurt."
The source also went on to reveal that Osbourne uses painkillers and alcohol to "block out her pain." She was admitted to a rehab center in April 2004 after admitting that she had been abusing painkillers and drinking too much. Substance abuse runs in the family, and her father Ozzy has been up front about his long history of abusing drugs and alcohol. Her brother, Jack, went through rehab for his addictions in 2003. Maybe the second time around, Kelly can kick her dependency on drugs and alcohol. Hopefully, she won’t follow her father’s example and spend decades battling her demons.
