Forever?

A sad poem of a girl who thought that forever could never be forever...
Forever,
That is what you said.
But now I see,
forever is never.

Friends forever,
didn’t last very long.
Now I dream of you,
and of everything we used to do.

Why did you leave me?
Your patience was my key,
To the door that led to light.
Now I have lost my sight,
To your heartless soul.

Forever,
is the poison running through my veins.
Love, joy, compassion, are nothing,
to me.

Oh god save me,
From this hellish void.
Is there no way out for me?

No there isn’t,
Nor will there ever be.
