Davenport v Mauresmo - Live!

Tennis: Wimbledon: Will Amélie Mauresmo choke again? Find out with Georgina Turner now.
Why does it always rain on me It's 1.05pm, and the covers are still on - but Sue Barker's risking her barnet on Centre Court with not an umbrella-wielding flunky in sight, so we may not be held up for too long.

You betcha Davenport's at 4/9, Mauresmo at 5/2... tempted?

The lie of the land Right. Lindsay Davenport is world No1, seeded No1, and has something of a juggernaut about her [I'm talking about her all-conquering run into this semi, come on now]. That said, she hasn't won a grand slam since 2000 (when she won the Australian Open).

Amélie Mauresmo, on the other hand, is seeded third, and has somehow contrived to keep her trophy cabinet empty of grand slams over the years - but she too has looked strong getting here (she hasn't dropped a set yet). The bad news for her, apart from the fact that this is her third consecutive semi-final and she's already being tagged as a choker, is that in their last seven meetings, Davenport hasn't even let her notch up a set. It's all so, so different on grass though.
