Inderal
Propranolol hydrochloride is the generic name of Inderal which is popularly known as beta blocker in the medical dictionary. It is a medication used in the treatment of high blood pressure, angina pectoris, changes in heart rhythm, hereditary tremors, tumors of the adrenal gland, prevention of migraine headache and angina pectoris. This drug is termed as live savior as it reduces the risk of death from recurring heart attack. Ironically, this drug is perfect for the treatment of high blood pressure but sometimes it is combined with other drugs too, particularly thiazide-type diuretics.
With its consumption you can notice the significant decrease in the force and rate of heart contractions, lowering blood pressure and reduction in the heart's demand for oxygen. If you’re a patient of high blood pressure, then using Inderal regularly can prove to be very effective. But it works gradually, and the results are only visible after several weeks. Thus, its continuous consumption is a must if you are generally unwell. This fact should be kept in mind that Inderal never cures high blood pressure but keeps it under control. Inderal must be consumed before meals and that too in a prescribed manner, even after your symptoms have vanished. Avoid missing any of the doses, as this can give a death blow to your health condition. Even if you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. But never take 2 doses at the same time.
For yielding best results from Inderal it should be stored at a room temperature in a tightly closed and light-resistant container. This drug should be consumed only when if it is prescribed by the doctors, as there are few side effects which might develop in the future. The possible side effects can be congestive heart failure, reddish or purplish spots on the skin, visual changes, abdominal cramps, lupus erythematosus, slow heartbeat, weakness, low blood pressure, tingling, decreased sexual ability, disorientation, difficulty in breathing, vomiting, prickling in hands, trouble sleeping, depression, hair loss, worsening of certain heartbeat irregularities, diarrhea, headache, rash, short-term memory loss, constipation, colitis, fever with sore throat, upset stomach and nausea.
People with weak heart history should use this drug with caution and always be in contact with the doctor in case of any emergency. Same applies for those suffering from asthma or other bronchial conditions, coronary artery disease, or kidney or liver disease. Prior to consuming Inderal, always notify your doctor or dentist about its consumption, and if in the past if you had a medical emergency or even a surgery then don’t leave any stone unturned.
