Lleyton Hewitt set up an enticing quarter-final against Feliciano Lopez after seeing off American Taylor Dent in four sets on Centre Court this afternoon.

Hewitt took just minutes to break Taylor Dent in the first game of their fourth round encounter but was made to work before taking the first set 6-4.

And despite dropping the second 6-4, Dent fought hard to stay with the Australian, saving two match points to win the third set tie-break 9-7.

But he faltered at the last, Hewitt eventually serving for the match to win 6-4, 6-4, 7-6, 6-3.

David Nalbandian shrugged off Saturday's test against British youngster Andrew Murray to beat Richard Gasquet in three sets on court No2.

He showed few signs of fatigue to win the first set 6-4, and after being quickly broken by the Frenchman in the second he went on to take the tie-break 7-3. Any ideas that this might be another close match disappeared as the Argentinian raced away with the third set, winning 6-4, 7-6 (7-3), 6-0.

Thomas Johansson, seeded 12th, will be Nalbandian's quarter-final opponent after beating Max Mirnyi in straight sets, winning 6-4, 7-5, 6-4.

Meanwhile Feliciano Lopez's excellent run of form continues - fresh from dispatching Marat Safin, the young Spaniard beat Mario Ancic 6-4, 6-4, 6-2 in their fourth round meeting this afternoon. He will face Hewitt or Dent in the quarter-finals.

Fernando Gonzalez has taken an early lead against Russian Mikhail Youzhny, winning the first set in the tie-break 7-6 (7-3).
