Hewitt in Charge on Centre
Tennis: Wimbledon:> Mary Pierce has already raced into the quarter-finals and Lleyton Hewitt looks set to join her.
Lleyton Hewitt took just minutes to break Taylor Dent in the first game of their fourth round encounter but was made to work before taking the first set 6-4.
Hewitt notched up a couple of breaks before Dent forced one of his own to recover from 5-1 to 5-4 down. The Australian soon returned to full flow, however, to serve out the set.
And David Nalbandian has shrugged off Saturday's test against British youngster Andrew Murray to take a two-set lead against Richard Gasquet.
He showed few signs of fatigue to break Gasquet in the ninth game of the court No2 clash to win the first set 6-4, and after being quickly broken by the Frenchman in the second he went on to take the tie-break 7-3 and establish a strong lead.
Meanwhile Feliciano Lopez's excellent run of form continues - fresh from dispatching Marat Safin, the young Spaniard beat Mario Ancic 6-4, 6-4, 6-2 in their fourth round meeting this afternoon. He will face Hewitt or Dent in the quarter-finals.
Thomas Johansson, seeded 12th, took the first set of his match against Max Mirnyi 6-4 and won the second 7-5.
On court No3, Mary Pierce demolished 26th seed Flavia Pennetta to win the match 6-3, 6-1 and secure her place in the quarter-finals. Third seed Amelie Mauresmo made a stuttering start to her attempt to do the same, against Elena Likhovtseva, but won the first set 6-4 after exchanging breaks.
