Andy Roddick blasted his way into the third round at Wimbledon, overpowering Austria's Alexander Peya on court two.

Roddick was in full control of his game from both baseline and net as he wiped the floor with the baseliner Peya 6-3, 7-6, 6-4.

Fellow American Taylor Dent will provide Roddick's next opposition, after he beat the Italian Stefano Pescosolido in straight sets.

The 22nd seed Andrei Pavel crashed out to Danish qualifier Kenneth Carlsen.
