Jennifer Aniston Expecting?

The couple has reportedly been trying to conceive their first child since her 10-year stint as Rachel Green on Friends ended. The news that they have successfully conceived comes on the heels of the birth of her co-star and best friend Courteney Cox’s first child. A source close to the couple says, "This is something that both Brad and Jennifer want. Expect an announcement later this month." Aniston’s rep has neither denied nor substantiated the rumors.

The baby rumors come after more reports that their four-year marriage is on the rocks. It was rumored that the couple’s relationship was the pits and he had a fling with his Mr. and Mrs. Smith co-star Angelina Jolie while on location. Pitt said of the rumors, "Angelina and I were prepared for such stories but it doesn't mean we don't get annoyed when they actually come out." He also said that he and Aniston try and "just stay away from it all." After the rumors started, Aniston and Pitt made a big show of appearing like a united front.

Rumors of marital unrest have followed the couple since their July 2000 wedding. Both have said things in interviews that would lead one to believe there may be issues in the marriage. Pitt, 40, fueled rumors when he said: "I’m not sure that it really is in our nature to be with someone for the rest of our lives." He did recently announce that they were going to try for a baby, saying, "We have been in rehearsals long enough." If Aniston is pregnant, maybe the rumors of problems in their marriage will cease…at least for a little while. Just think…if they have a baby girl, maybe they could name her Peach.
