It’s a Girl for Courteney Cox
Courteney Cox and hubby David Arquette welcomed a little girl into the world on Sunday morning.
Courteney Cox and David Arquette are the latest Hollywood parents to give birth. Cox and Arquette welcomed little Coco into the world last Sunday, a week before her scheduled due date. Cox reportedly went into labor on Saturday night, which just so happened to be the five-year anniversary of Cox and Arquette’s wedding. Little Coco made her debut on Sunday, just two days before Cox’s fortieth birthday.
What a great birthday gift for Cox, who has admitted to childbearing difficulties. Cox and Arquette met in 1996 on the set of their hit movie Scream. The two married in June 1999 and have been trying to have a child since. Cox endured "many miscarriages" and had been trying to become pregnant through in vitro fertilization. She also said if that failed they would consider alternatives as a last resort. She was quoted as saying, "I do want his genes, and I would probably try a surrogate before that…but then, absolutely adoption." Luckily, Cox had a healthy pregnancy with Coco. There were rumors that she was initially pregnant with twins and she lost one. Cox and Arquette denied this rumor.
Coco, while not the weirdest Hollywood moniker, is not the most common name for a child. What is it about the rich and famous that gives them the idea that they can name their children the ridiculous names that they do? Little Coco Cox-Arquette joins the likes of Rumer, Apple, Audio Science, and Pilot Inspektor, just to name a few. Luckily, Coco will probably go to school with other children who have "interesting" names. Do famous people even consider the fact that their children will have to introduce themselves forever with names like Tallulah Belle and Diezel Ky?
