Stepping Stones

Stepping Stones to life are lost with the breaking of the heart....
The love you had for me,
was my stepping stones to get through life.
Now that I lost you,
I can't seem to find the next stone.
I try to step and fall into the icy waters.
I cry for your help,
but I remember you love someone else.
I grab what seemed like a trusty oak,
the old tree snapped and screamed with fear
as I headed to the depths of the of the waterfall.
At the bottom of the waterfall are people,
people who loves someone but aren't loved back.
The longer I stand alone without you beside me,
the more rapid the river becomes.
The waterfall becoming taller with time and fear.
I reach close enough to the waterfall,
to where it seem the are only inches between us.
I hope you are the one to pull me out.
I fall over the waterfall....
I guess not!
