All This Pain ~part 3~
The most ancient of vampires believe that Faith is their fallen queen. So they begin to haunt her dreams. When they take her prisoner, it is up to her vampiric boyfriend, Kristofer, to save her.
Sometimes I do not get Kristofer! How could I forget that he loves me? I live at his house, I sleep in his bed, and I love him! He is acting so strange today! What is his problem?
He had been waiting on me all day. Getting me anything and everything that I might need. When he gets back up here, I’ll ask him what’s up.
He walked into the room carrying a tray full of grapes and strawberries and a chicken ceaser salad. "Am I dying?" I asked. "I hope not!" "Then why all the room service? I don’t want to be a burden." "Don’t worry, you’re not! I’m just a bit worried about you still." "Are you still on about this morning? I’m fine! Nothing has happened to me! I’m still living!" "I know, I just want to be sure that you’re ok." "I’m fine! Can I go back to sleep? I am so tired, I think we stayed up too late last night!" "We were only up till six." "Yeah, but we were awake by nine! That is way too early, even if we had gone to bed at ten!" "Alright, get your beauty sleep! I’ll be down stairs watching those ‘scary movies’ again." "The Ring is very scary for you information!" "Whatever you say, babe. If you’re not up by dinner time, do you want me to wake you?" "Yep! Thanks!"
As I drifted off, I hoped that my dream from last night would return. I really want to know what that wall said, and I want to know who those people are. And why they took me to see the wall in the first place. Where the hell was the wall anyways? Did it even exist?
I stood amongst the group I had been with last time, but we were no longer by the wall. "Where did the wall go? And what did it say?" I asked. "Sorry our meeting was cut short last time, but that boy woke you, we could not keep you here." "It’s ok, I don’t really care, as long as somebody answers my questions."
A young girl stepped forward, she was hardly older than me. But she looked, somehow, different from the rest of the group. Not as pale, and not as spooky. "That was a prophecy wall. My grandmother made the prophecy that you read so beautifully. The wall does exist in the real world, but no human has ever visited it. It is located in Venice, Italy. It said ‘The Queen shall arise again/she shall be born in the form of a human girl with black hair/and the most magnificent blue eyes/you will not be able to reach her in the real world/she must be dream changed/and only your reincarnated Lord/will be able to tell for sure if it is she/he will come before she, and they will be reunited/as soon as she is ready/until then/search hard/find her/teach her well."
"What does that mean? Who are the Queen and the Lord? How was I able to read it? What language is it? I don’t understand!" "Calm down." The man that had been speaking before the young girl cam forward to speak with me once again. "I can’t! I want answers!" "And so you shall have them. Follow me. I shall take you to a place where we can discuss these matters in more comfort."
He led me from one place to another, but I swear we only walked twenty paces! The scenes simply changed around us! Soon we were standing outside of a huge mansion, covered in ivy. It was the most magnificent thing I had ever seen! It was a dark brown marblish building, with stone pillars of the same shade standing on either side of the large front double doors.
We headed straight for those doors, and he pushed them open. The room we entered was beautiful. There were two purple couches, five navy blue chairs, and one red couch. The walls where painted black, and the floor was marble tile. There was a nice large fireplace, with a fire going in the grate.
"Won’t the person that owns this place be mad that we are intruding?" I asked, as he gestured for me to sit in one of the blue chairs. I sat, and he pulled up a chair in front of mine. "Are you mad?" "What? No. Why?" "Because this is your house." "What? No it isn’t! I don’t own a house! I’m much too young!" "Perhaps I should better explain the situation." "That would be good! I am so lost!"
"About seven thousand years ago, there was a Vampire Queen, and a Vampire Lord. The Queen was called Isabella, and the Lord James. As you have probably read in books, there is only one way to kill a vampire, with a wooden steak. And, sometimes it is not enough to simply possess one, you must know how to use it.
"Well, one day, a vampire hunter was alerted to their existence. He, of course, made it his life’s goal to find and destroy them. On the day of the damned, he found them.
"We were all gathered in Transylvania, in this very house." "Wait! Hold on! So, you’re saying that this house is in Transylvania? And that vampires really do exist?" "Yes, that is exactly what I am saying, now if I may continue?" "Go ahead, I ain’t stopping you."
"As I was saying, we were all gathered here. Isabella and James were up on the roof, watching over their loyal subjects, when he struck. He was much faster than the other hunters, and much more stealthy. We hadn’t even detected his presence until it was too late.
"He had trust his stake through both of their hearts before we could even get up to the roof. We grieved for seven days before finding a new Queen and Lord. Then, Maria’s grandmother made the prophecy that you just recently found the meaning to." "Hold up! I did not find the meaning to it! That’s the whole point in you telling me all of this!" "Forgive me, my mistake. Anyways, as I was saying, Maria’s grandmother made the prophecy of the returning of our beloved Queen and Lord. We immediately got rid of the current Queen and Lord, and waited.
"It was many centuries before we finally found our Lord." "Sorry to interrupt again, but I have to know! Why did the Lord come first? How did you know that it was him? How is he going to know who his Queen is?" "He came first, because he died first. I do not know how we knew it was he, for I was not yet made then. And he has already confirmed who his Queen is. We are not sure how he can be so certain." "Wait! Who is she? Do I know her?" "Yes, you know her." "Again, who is she?"
"I am getting to that part be patient. As soon as we found our Lord, we began the search for our Queen. We brought many young girls with black hair and blue eyes before him, but he always said that they were not she. Then, just this year we found her. She was quite the dreamer. She never dreamed up fantasies, oh no. She dreamed of real events, real people, things that either had happened, or could come to pass. But she had no idea who she was, or that her dreams were real."
"Tell me who she is! Why are you stopping there? What’s wrong with you? You can’t stop in the middle of a story!" "That is the end of it. But if you must know, you are our reincarnated Queen. Your name is not Faith, it is Isabella." My eyes widened in horror. He knew my real name. What’s more, is that it was the same as the ancient Queen’s. But how could I be her? My dreams were not of real people and events! I couldn’t see possible futures! No one had that ability! It was only in the movies! Wait, I’m dreaming! None of this is real! Saved! "How did you know my real name?" "Because you are our Queen." "No, I mean the name that is on my birth certificate." "You mean, the name your parents gave you isn’t Faith?" "No! Are you kidding me? They hate it! I changed it to piss them off. It only earned me a few beatings, but I hated the name Isabella. Everyone made fun of me, because I didn’t have a normal name." "And Faith is a normal name?" "Well, no, but I like it, unlike Isabella! Yuck!"
Then the hottest man I had ever seen walked into the room. "Roger, how goes the story?" he asked the man sitting in front of me. "She is not taking it as you expected. She is much calmer. Complaining about how the name on her birth certificate was Isabella, and how she hated it, and changed it, then her parents beat her for the change." The man laughed. "You may leave now, Roger. I will speak with her." The man in front of me, Roger, I guess, stood, bowed to our new companion, and left the glorious room.
"So, Isabella, you have finally learned the truth." The man said, coming over and taking Roger’s vacant seat. "Don’t call me Isabella. I am not the Queen lady! And who the hell are you?" "I am their Lord, James." "Nice to meet you! Now, about your Queen, I know a girl with black hair and blue eyes, would you like to meet her?" "There is one sitting right in front of me. And I already know that she is my Queen." "Well, then we have a problem. You see, I am not her, and I am in love with Kristofer." "That idiot boy does not matter to you any longer!" "Yes he does! I love him!"
