Mary-Kate Olsen Rehabs
It has been announced that Mary-Kate Olsen has entered a clinic for treatment of an eating disorder.
The incredibly shrinking twin has lost so much weight in recent months that it has scared her family and friends. Michael Pagnotta, a spokesperson for Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen released this statement, "Mary-Kate Olsen recently entered a treatment facility to seek professional help for a health-related issue. She is thankful for the encouragement and support of her friends and family who are with her every step of the way." Mary-Kate is expected to remain in the rehabilitation facility for one-month.
No official word on the "health issue," but sources say the treatment is for an eating disorder. The girls have denied rumors of an eating disorder for the past few months and sources close to the twins call the reports "nonsense." It seems that it wasn’t so far fetched. Rumors began to circle about MK’s deteriorating weight a few months ago and further raised eyebrows when they were awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and MK’s ribs and spine were showing through her skin.
There have been reports that MK is not dealing well with the pressures of growing up. The girls turned 18 on June 13 and took control of their billion-dollar empire. In addition to those stresses, there is graduation from high school and beginning college at New York University in the fall. The girls are trying to distinguish themselves as individuals. Mary-Kate dyed her normally blonde locks brown and the girls’ publicist has announced that the girls be called by their individual names and not as "the Olsen twins." Hopefully, Mary-Kate will receive the help she needs.
