Jim Carrey & Jenny McCarthy an Item?

It has been reported that Carrey and McCarthy have been dating since November, but are reluctant to talk about it in the media. McCarthy recently appeared on The View and became uncharacteristically uncomfortable when she was asked about her relationship with Carrey. View co-hosts Joy Behar and Star Jones asked McCarthy to confirm that she is dating "a well-known comedian who makes funny faces and is not Jerry Lewis." McCarthy said, "No comment. Does that ever work? Funny thing is I've never said it in my whole life!" She also said that if anyone was interested in her love life and who she was dating could "look it up online." McCarthy then said, "Let's move on to the next topic."

McCarthy is not usually one to keep her mouth shut. She has openly discussed her marriage and subsequent divorce, childbirth, and her adventures being a mother. Maybe seeing how dating in the public eye can actually be detrimental to a relationship, Carrey and McCarthy decided to keep their under wraps. The two have recently been spotted getting cozy in Los Angeles at M Café de Chaya. A source said the two looked more than friendly and were holding hands and looked "lovey dovey." A source close to the couple said, "Jenny and Jim seem really into each other…they're spending a lot of time together, and I hear things are getting pretty steamy." The two refuse to confirm whether or not they are dating.

Seems like a pretty good match. Both funny in their own right, it seems as if they could make a serious go of a relationship. Both are divorced. Carry is twice divorce. He was married to actress Melissa Womer from March 1987 to November 1993. The couple has one daughter, Jane, who was born in 1987. McCarthy has been married once to British director John Asher. They were married in September 1999 and were divorced in August 2005. They have one son, Evan.
