Henin-Hardenne Sweeps Into Final

Tennis: French Open: Justine Henin-Hardenne made it 23 wins on the spin to reach the final at Roland Garros, dismissing Nadia Petrova 6-2, 6-3.
Justine Henin-Hardenne booked her place in the French Open final with a comfortable 6-2, 6-3 victory over Nadia Petrova today.

The Belgian completed her 23rd consecutive win in just 68 minutes as her superior aggression forced Petrova into an increasing spiral of mistakes.

Having won at Roland Garros in 2003, Henin-Hardenne will now aim for a second title in Paris against either Mary Pierce or Elena Likhovtseva in the final.

"I have to stay focused and concentrate on my own game, whoever I play next," she said. "I was very determined, I was patient and I was aggressive when I needed to be. I'm very satisfied.

"I'm getting a bit tired but I keep winning and that's a good feeling. It would be a good conclusion for me to finish the claycourt season undefeated.

"I have lots of memories and emotions from here. This is a bit like home."

Meanwhile, British starlet Andrew Murray maintained his bid for junior glory in the boys' singles competition with a 6-4, 6-2 dismissal of Argentina's Juan Martin Del Potro.
