Scott Foley Moves On

After 12-years of living life in Los Angeles, actor Scott Foley is packing up and heading to New York City.
Twelve years in La-La-Land apparently is enough. Foley is heading to the Big Apple on the heels of his split from wife Jennifer Garner. Foley will be starring on Broadway in the play The Violet Hour, which is slated for a fall opening. Foley says this is something that he "always wanted to do" and that it comes "at a perfect time in my life." Foley says he is only in New York temporarily, but if he likes it he may just stay.

The couple, who were married in 2000 and announced their split in April of this year, seemed like the all-American dream couple. Funny how different appearances can be from the truth? With Garner’s star on the rise – actually rocketing to the top – and Foley’s star fizzling, it seems the couple just didn’t have what it takes to make it. Rumors of Garner’s infidelity with her Alias co-star Michael Vartan set the rumor mill buzzing and didn’t help matters. Like a whirlwind they were done and she seemed quite happy about it.

It seems the couple has decided against joint custody of their "kids." Garner will have custody of their cat Wesley and Foley will keep their dogs Charlie Rose, a Maltese, and Maggie Mae, a Beagle mix. Sources close to the couple say that Garner is the one who asked for the divorce and has been the one to move on without so much as a glance back. Foley, on the other hand, is having a tough time dealing with the split, even though it was rumored that he was having an affair with his A.U.S.A. co-star Amanda Detmer. Whatever the case may be, one has to wonder if Garner got too big of an ego and decided to drop Foley or if Foley was jealous of his wife’s success! We probably will never know the truth.
