Is Heather Mills Using Sir Paul?

Now that Paul McCartney and Heather Mills have finally tied the knot, it seems that the questions about her real reasons for wanting the relationship to become "legal" have only grown louder. Lately, many in the British press have been pointing to the remarks of Mills ex, Alfie Karmal, about Heather’s compulsive lying and propensity toward the fantasy as reasons to question her undying devotion to Sir Paul.

Everyone is well aware that Mills has a publicity agenda – her work with the Adopt-a-minefield is probably the number one priority – and that Paul certainly provides an excellent means to that end. But she is and has been a very socio-politically active entertainer, who does seem to have her charities’ best interests at heart. Those skeptical of Mills point to McCartney’s daughter Stella’s vehement disapproval of Mills and in turn, of Mills insistence that McCartney remove the wedding band of his deceased wife, Linda.

While removing the wedding band of a deceased spouse is certainly no reason for alarm, the recent announcement that McCartney will be performing on a special for ABC and that Mills was the driving force behind the negotiations, seems to be worth looking into. We’re only just out of the gate on this one, but it would seem that the most intriguing parts of the story are yet to come.
