Denise Richards & Richie Sambora Engaged?

She was photographed last Thursday blatantly showing off the ring when she returned from her Parisian jaunt with Sambora leaving many to speculate as to whether or not the two have gotten engaged. After only two months of dating and the fact that neither is legally divorced yet, it would seem that most likely they are not engaged. Although stranger things have happened, especially in Hollywood. She was photographed a few days later sans the ring.

As for her relationship with Sambora, 46, Richards says "you can’t help who you fall for." She also goes on record about her relationship with Sambora’s estranged wife and Richards ex BFF. Richards reportedly said of her relationship with Locklear, "And that friendship, unfortunately, was done and wasn’t salvageable and that’s the thing, People have one on, ‘Oh, would you date your [best friend’s husband]?’ You know, she wasn’t my best friend. She was a close friend in the last couple of years. I hadn’t known her my whole life [like] people [are] portraying this."

Richards goes on to say, "[it’s] been tough having people think that I’m such a crappy friends – because if we were friends I wouldn’t be in this situation." The Wild Things actress claims that her relationship with Sambora didn’t start until his marriage to Locklear came to an end and her marriage with Charlie Sheen was done. Richards says she understands that people have been hurt over the whole thing and says she understands why but she refuses to apologize for it. She said, "I was always a people-pleaser and I just finally got to the point in my life after having my daughters and going through a really ugly divorce, and my mother [being] sick with cancer, that I’ve just gotten to the point where life is so short and I just want to be happy." Well, as long as you’re happy, Denise!
