Britney Spears’ Speaks
Britney Spears has filmed an interview with Matt Lauer set to air later this week stating she is a good mother and that her marriage is great.

The interview is set to air on the Today show on NBC Thursday morning and on Dateline NBC Thursday night. A "tearful" Spears, 24, reportedly claims that she is "an emotional wreck" due to the paparazzi. She also slams rumors that her marriage to Kevin Federline is in trouble. Said Spears, "He helps me. He has to. I’m (an) emotional wreck." She describes her marriage as being "awesome" and dismisses the rumors that K-Fed is sleeping in the basement. The singer also questions whether or not people want and hope that her marriage fails and said, "If they are, that’s sad. I think everybody should be ‘pro love.’"
As for her parenting skills, Spears says she is a "good mom." She came under scrutiny earlier this year when pictures surfaced of Spears driving with her then four-month old child, Sean Preston, on her lap. At the time she did admit that she made a mistake but blamed the paparazzi. She said she was playing with the baby on her lap and was suddenly surrounded by photogs and she feared for her safety and for the safety of her son so instead of strapping him into his car seat she just took off. Now she explains it by saying, "I did it with my dad. I’d sit on his lap and I’d drive. We’re country." Maybe that flies in Louisiana but not on Pacific Coast Highway.
Spears and Federline were married in September 2004 and have one child together. Last month, Spears announced that she and Federline are expecting baby number two. Federline also has two children with his ex-girlfriend Shar Jackson. In the interview with Matt Lauer, Spears also said that she feels as if she is a "target" for the paparazzi saying, "they like to have a person they pick on." She also said she feels as if they have "crossed the line."
