Jenna "Survives" Playboy
Survivor: The Amazon’s Jenna Morascas has posed sans close for the August issue of Playboy for a rumored $1 million paycheck.
Morascas is not the first Survivor contestant to bare it all for the magazine; however, this marks the first time a $1 million winner has appeared in the pages. Jerri Manthey from The Australian Outback was the first "Survivor alum" to pose in her birthday suit.
Morascas and her comrade Heidi Strobel (who will also be featured in the spread) shed their clothes – although their bits and pieces were cleverly blurred - during the sixth season of Survivor, drawing the attention of Playboy editors. Surprisingly, CBS and executive producer Mark Burnett granted Morascas permission to pose. CBS and Burnett control the contestant’s media appearances for a year following the airing of the show. They have the power to say yay or nay. Although Morascas was given the greenlight to pose, she was almost not granted permission to appear in a faux fur bikini for a PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) ad. They have since given her the go-ahead to appear in the ad.
What? Playgirl isn’t optioning Richard Hatch to appear? Or maybe Rudy from the original show…Playgirl Geriatric anyone? Appear on a reality show and become "famous." Producers have already commissioned a seventh season of backstabbing, broken alliances, and immunity challenges. Survivor seems to keep surviving…and the contestants seem to enjoy their fifteen minutes of fame…some more so than others. Maybe some of the ladies would like to catch a glimpse of Season 2’s Colby or maybe Season 3’s winner Ethan’s assets….just a thought!
