Three-peat anyone?

The New Jersey Nets have fought hard in their games throughout the season, but could it be over? Are the Lakers just too good?
The New Jersey Nets have fought hard throughout the regular season and playoffs.

A good example was in the thrilling fifth game against the Pacers in the first round.

The Nets play a very good team game, but is that enough?

Some people say Jason Kidd should shoot more. On Sunday he did, but it still was not enough.

What do the Nets need to do to beat the Lakers?

We'll have to see in game four.

In game one of the series, the Nets played well, but were never really in the game.

Is Shaq too powerful? Nets' centers Todd MacCulloch, Aaron Williams, and Jason Collins think so, as O'Neal dropped a 36 points in that first game.

In game two, it was more of the same, as the Nets played well, but were still never really in it. Isn't Kenyon Martin supposed to be the Nets' leading scorer? He scored six points, and two of his field goals were both dunks off put backs. We didn't see any moves from him. That just doesn't cut it for a former first pick in the draft.

Now game three was a little different. Kidd managed to drop 30 points, throw 10 assists, and pull down five boards. Martin played a whole lot better, putting in 26 points and shooting 11-17.

All this, though, and it was still not enough. Here's why.

It wasn't enough because Kobe Bryant scored 35 points and Shaq dropped 36, while also pulling down 11 rebounds.

There is no one more deserving of the championship then the Los Angeles Lakers. Some say they're unbeatable, and I think right now that is accurate.

A lot of people were, and still are, expecting the Nets to be swept. I say no way because Jason Kidd is going to do all he can to make sure that won't happen. Expect a big game from him, and from Kenyon Martin, in game four.

Will Shaq make his free throws? Will Kobe shoot a good percentage? Will the Nets run their fast paced team offense?

We shall see in game four.
