Star Jones Booted
It has been reported that Star Jones has been asked to leave The View and is currently looking at her other options.

ABC is allegedly getting ready to announce Jones departure according to a source. It has been rumored that her leaving The View was a request by newcomer Rosie O’Donnell. O’Donnell is set to take over Meredith Vieira’s position when she leaves to join the Today show. A source reportedly said, "It was always Rosie’s condition to join the show, and Barbara agreed to those conditions from the outset." It has also been rumored that Walters is not a huge fan of Jones and has been itching to get her off the show.
Jones and the network will announce that she is leaving to "pursue new projects," but really she has been kicked to the curb. It was reported that Jones’ camp had a different story and said the rumors were "100 percent not true." Jones has reportedly become increasingly more obnoxious. She and co-host Joy Behar reportedly have been secretly feuding behind the scenes. Jones also angered the network two years ago when she was planning her wedding to Al Reynolds after she accepted wedding freebies in exchange for on air plugs. She has also upset the network with her incessant bragging about her weight loss but refuses to admit that she had surgery to help aid the loss.
One source said that Jones was hoping to take over Vieira’s spot, but Walters put a stop to that because according to the source Walters "hates" Jones. There has been talk that Gayle King, Oprah Winfrey’s best friend, is in talks to take over Jones position on the show but nothing has been confirmed yet. It has bee rumored that Jones agents are looking around for a new job for her. Good luck, Star!
