Visit From the Other Side

Pets have no karma. They go straight to Heaven.
Sluggo paid me a visit last night;
His pure, blissful spirit: no body in sight.
But I did feel his nose as he nudged me and said,
"I'm still alive! I'm really not dead."

Then his spirit romped around me with joy;
A spirit so strong, you could not destroy.
So happy. So free. He seemed to say,
"Thank you. I love you. I'm not far away!"
