The Osbournes: Another Round?
Ozzy, Sharon, Kelly and Jack will be signing on for a second and possibly third season of The Osbournes on MTV.
Although MTV insists nothing has been finalized, wife Sharon and daughter Kelly let it slip that the Osbournes had agreed to let the cable network invade their privacy for another season. The Osbournes were paid $200,000 for the first season, which consisted of 10 episodes. Daily Variety reports that the family may be looking at $20 million for two more seasons.
On Thursday’s edition of the Tonight Show, Jay Leno asked Sharon if the family was indeed going to do another season, to which she replied "yes." According to Variety, Sharon said, "We’re very happy about it. A lot of thought went into this and we’re happy that we’re going to do another one, and that it is going to be with MTV. They’ve become a part of our family as we’ve become part of theirs."
According to daughter, Kelly, it seems likely that next season will take place at their mansion in England. Aimee, the eldest daughter who declined to take part in the first season, may show up in some episodes for the upcoming season, according to Sharon. MTV hit the jackpot with The Osbournes. It has become the "most watched" series on cable and in MTV history. The family has graced the covers of magazines, done the talk show circuit and there are even rumors of action figures being fashioned after the "stars."
