Paris Hilton: Business Woman

Is Paris the next Jennifer Lopez? Well on her way to becoming the next big multi-hyphenate alongside the likes of La Lopez, Jessica Simpson, and Britney Spears, Hilton already has a few movie credits, a successful television show, and a bestseller under her belt. Hilton now has a new way to bring in the benjamins, appearing at parties. Hilton has said that a 20-minute appearance at a party can net her between $150,000 and $200,000. Said Hilton, "If it’s in Japan, I get more." Hmmm…kind of like a modern day prostitute minus the sex.

Just a few short years ago, the name Paris Hilton was not internationally known. Now it seems you can’t escape from her. Once only known for her Internet-leaked amateur sex video, now Paris is virtually a household name. Whether or not you love her or just love to hate her, it seems that Paris is here to stay…for a little while anyway…and she is determined to capitalize on her name in any way she can. She is currently set to begin production on the fourth season of her hit reality television show The Simple Life, sans partner in crime Nicole Richie. The two have recently suffered a very public "break-up." No official word yet on who will replace Richie, but the frontrunner seems to be Kimberly Stewart.

In addition to her reality show, her memoir Confessions of an Heiress was on the bestseller list for a number of weeks last summer. She also has a jewelry line on Amazon.com, a budding fragrance line, and has opened a Club Paris in Orlando with two more planned in Miami and Las Vegas. Her aspirations include launching a clothing line, a handbag line, an energy drink, and a boutique hotel chain. She is currently starring in her first major movie House of Wax and to top it all off is working on recording an album. Phew, she’s making me tired…
