Maybe
Maybe I’ve stopped dreaming of fairy tales
Believing that good always wins
Love conquers all and wars can be won
Maybe I don’t believe in happily ever after
Romantic moonlights with golden seas
Fortunes should be told
Maybe I lost my footing
Veered off the path
Of my great expectations
Maybe I assume my day is done
There is no self worth
Beating in this old soul of mine
Maybe I have no more left to give
Fate is no longer on my side
The curtain has called
And I await my final carriage
Maybe, just maybe
